L'Oreal Colour Riche Lipstick in Fairest Nude

Some time ago I purchased the L'Oreal Colour Riche Lipstick in Fairest Nude. From the pictures it looks like it'd be a deeper natural lip color but it's actually a natural light pink. The finish is a creme finish with some nice shine and because it's a creme finish it is pretty moisturizing which is nice and it is also fairly opaque. The lasting power is good, you only have to reapply it every few hours. This lipstick runs around $6.00 which isn't too bad and you could probably get it for even cheaper because L'Oreal always has different coupons in the paper or online so look out for that. The smell of this lipstick isn't really my favorite.. It almost smells like roses and that's really not a smell I'm a fan of. I'd rather it smell like vanilla or something fruity because those are actually enjoyable smells! It reminds me of my grandmas perfume but that's just me. Now for the packaging it's just gold all over which once again reminds me of my grandma for some reason, it really isn't the nicest packaging in my opinion but that really isn't important. This is a really nice everyday lip color for lighter skin tones but if you are a bit darker, it could be a really nice nude. Overall I'd give this lipstick an 8/10 because it's a really nice lipstick but the smell and packaging is not the best.

L'Oreal Color Riche Le Gloss "Baby Blossom"

 When the L'Oreal Color Riche Le Gloss lip glosses came out I really wanted to get at least one because of the great reviews I was seeing and hearing, also the color selection was really nice. Even though there was a an interesting orange shade and a gorgeous deep burgundy that looked almost black I decided to go for a basic nude pink just because I know I'd actually use this type of shade, this one is called Baby Blossom. Getting a unique shade that I don't own anything similar to is fun every once in a while but when it comes to lip gloss I don't really do that because A. I never even use the lip glosses I have so getting a random color that would be untouched most of the time isn't such a good idea and B. this lip gloss isn't that cheap so I wanted to get a color I'd actually use to get my moneys worth. This lip gloss runs around $8.00 so it really isn't that cheap in my eyes, but this is also coming from a girl who doesn't have a job and gets money from her parents so it just depends on what you think is affordable. For the price, the quality was alright, the writing on the tube rubbed off after about a month and after two months or so the lip gloss seemed to separate. You can't tell in the tube but when you squeeze it out an oily liquid comes out and then after some time the actual color comes out in a thick glob so you have to blend it on your lips yourself and it is also too thick to shake and mix so you're really stuck with the separation. This gloss has a squeeze tube which I like and it is long and skinny, holding .4 oz of gloss. The texture is thick, it's an extremely moisturizing gloss & it lasts around 2 hours or so till you have to reapply. It also can be opaque depending on how much you apply but it goes on a little uneven so you have to be careful to blend it like I already said, you can't just throw it on in a rush or without a mirror or it may look a little off. I usually like pairing it with bright lip colors because it does a nice job of toning them down a bit. I think the smell is what grabbed me the most to buy this because everyone said it smelled like vanilla and I have to say it really does, when I put it on I get that smell of vanilla birthday cake and I love that about it. Overall, it was an okay lip gloss and I'd give it a 7/10. I probably wouldn't purchase another from the line though.

Lancôme Juicy Tubes Ultra Shiny Lip Gloss "Moulin Rose"

So this product I am reviewing today is one of the Lancôme Juicy Tubes Ultra Shiny Lip Glosses. The shade I'm reviewing is Moulin Rose.  I received this for Christmas and I don't believe you can buy this on it's own, I'm thinking it came in a gift set of some sort but I was given it individually. The mini Juicy Tubes (which is what Moulin Rose is) have .33 fluid ounces but the average Juicy Tube contains .5 fluid ounces & run for $18.00. They are pretty expensive and I'll be honest, I probably wouldn't buy these because of how expensive they are no matter what the quality may be. This lip gloss is a rosey color, as the name states. This lip gloss is great for the spring/summer of 2012 because rosey lips were big on the runways and the "pretty" look was big so this lip gloss will definitely be a hit for this season. It's quite sheer but you still get a little bit of the pink tint, nothing too drastic though so if you really want some color you'd need to layer a lipstick of some sort under. I prefer sheerer lip glosses anyway because I don't feel comfortable with wearing opaque colors on my lips, I go for more of the natural look on an everyday basis. I don't even usually wear anything on my lips besides chap stick but this lip gloss is natural enough for me so I feel comfortable wearing it out of the house. I love the nice shine it gives me and it reflects the light beautifully. It does last on the lips, it starts wearing off around 2 hours or so but I think that's good because during those two hours I also drank something so maybe if I hadn't done that the gloss would last a bit longer but I'm always drinking something so that's the real test for the wear of lip colors on me.The taste of this lip gloss isn't the best, it tastes rosey which makes sense because they wanted every aspect of the gloss to be rosey (hence the name, color, etc.). I'm not a fan of the smell and I really don't like tasting it so that's the down side. Overall, I do like this gloss, the smell doesn't stop me from using it so I would recommend this one or another shade part of the Juicy Tube line if you are willing to fork out the money for it.

Wet N Wild Silk Finish Lipstick in Nouveau Pink

So today I'm giving a brief review of this gorgeous fuchsia Wet N Wild lipstick. It's from the Silk Finish line and it's called Nouveau Pink and the number for it is 511B. It is a bright fuchsia lipstick with a cream finish and it is also very opaque so one swipe will do the job. On the Wet N Wild website, it says this lipstick is enriched with Vitamins A&E and also has Aloe Vera in it which is petty cool. It is a very mousturizing and creamy lip stick which also means it can slip and slide on your lips if you are eating anything. I just say eating something because when I would drink out of a cup, it didn't get messy. This lipstick is one of those that should be somewhat precisely applied because it is so bright so the mistakes will show. The lasting power is alright, obviously if you eat something the lisptick will end up on your food once you take a bite so just keep that in mind if you plan on eating with it on. That is how it is with a lot of lipsticks anyway though so I don't find it as a downside. Now this lipstick is only .99 cents which is insane! I don't think lipsticks get any cheaper than this. If you are looking for this lipstick you may have a hard time finding it because in a lot of stores the lipsticks are either messed up and someone opened them or they are out of stock. I was lucky enough to get the last one so when you go to drugstores just keep a lookout for it if you plan on purchasing it. This lipstick is gorgeous, opaque, and cheap. What more could I ask for? I most definitly reccomend this lipstick because if you end up not liking it, you will at least be happy you didnt have to forkout more than a dollar or two for it (depending on tax)!

Review: Revlon Photo Ready Concealer

You can get it for around 7-8 dollars depending on where you buy it from.

What you get:
You get .11 ounces of concealer which I find is a lot and will last a while.

Pigmentation/Creaminess:

This concealer is very creamy which I really like, it just glides on my skin. It is very pigmented which means it can cover up even the brightest red blemish or purple under eye circles. It isn't cakey either which is why I like to use it under my eyes sometimes. The yellow undertones in it help counteract dark purple circles. I don't recommend applying the concealer straight from the stick because bacteria from your skin could get on it and contaminate it so I like to put a bit on a clean finger or a concealer brush and apply it that way. 

Color Selection:
This concealer only comes in 6 different shades which isn't much so that is definitely a downside. Also most of them are yellow based so if you have pink undertones this wouldn't be the best concealer for you.

Lasting Power:

I think the lasting power of this concealer is really good. It lasts about 5-6 hours on me. I would recommend setting it with a powder though so it doesn't melt off in the heat. However if it is cool then there won't be a problem with it wearing off right away.

Who would I recommend this to:
I recommend this concealer to anyone who has blemishes or dark circles they want to cover up.

Overall Thoughts:
I love this concealer and would repurchase it a million more times however there does need to be more of a color selection.

Review: E.l.f 100 Eye Shadow Palette

I purchased mine from Amazon for $10.00 which is very cheap cheap for all the eye shadows you get.

What you get:

Basically what you get in this palette is 100 eye shadows, all the colors of the rainbow and more. You could do a neutral look, a silver smoky look, or even a bright, fun look. This palette is full of different finishes, some are frosty, others are shimmery, and a few are matte. It also comes with two sponge tip applicators and a little mirror.

Pigmentation/Quality:

These eye shadows look fairly pigmented in the swatches and they are however some are quite powdery which means lots of fallout and not much sticking to the eye. The way I apply these eye shadows is with a sticky base like a cream eye shadow. I normally do this with all of my eye shadows no matter what brand or quality they are just because I think it prolongs their wear so it was not that big of a deal for me but if your someone who likes to just swipe a shadow across your lid without any extra steps this would be a downside for you. I would say the quality is not the best because you do need to use a sticky base but after using a base the shadows do look gorgeous. Now with the lasting power, these shadows can last the whole day with a good primer. I do not recommend using these eye shadows without a primer because they will fade in no time.

Who would I recommend this to:

The people I would recommend this palette to would be beginners because it has a large assortment of colors and it is not going to break the bank because it is only $10.00.

Overall Thoughts:

My overall thoughts on this palette are that it has alright quality but I still would recommend it to beginners because it gives a variety of colors to choose from in just one palette for an affordable price. I do like that it comes with just about every color you can think of and that it has a variety of finishes. Knowing what it is like now I still would have purchased it because it is a good palette to have when you do bright and different looks like I do.

Revlon Colorburst Lipstick "Soft Nude"

I had purchased this Revlon Color burst lipstick in Soft Nude a few weeks ago and posted it in a recent haul. The reason I picked this lipstick up was because I had really wanted a new nude lipstick beside my NYX Circe and drugstore was the only way I was going. I came to the conclusion that Revlon was the most high end and best quality drugstore brand there is...okay well except for NYX but they only sell NYX at ULTA which I don’t consider drugstore. But anyway, I knew I wanted a Revlon lipstick but the real question was…which nude lipstick do I want? Well I saw this lipstick in a picture maybe, I’m not exactly sure where I saw it but I know I saw it somewhere and immediately fell in love. So I decided to pick it up.

The color is a peachy nude and has a crème finish. It also comes with a lot of product in the tube. It only takes a few swipes to get an opaque wash of color, no need to blank out your lips before hand. It can appear a bit orange on certain people but not me. I’m pale so that could be why, I have read that on darker people it does look a little orange so beware all you tanned skinned people. It’s nothing a little lip gloss can’t fix though. Personally, I am not a fan of this lipstick alone because I feel like it makes me look washed out but I love it paired with a gloss. My personal favorite nude lip combo is this lipstick with NYX’s lip gloss in Frosted Beige.  Also, if your lips are dry, this lipstick will most definitely point it out. So be sure to exfoliate your lips before wearing this alone (brushing your lips with a tooth brush will do the trick). The lasting power is fairly well according to the lipstick beginner (me); the lipstick alone lasts about an hour and a half. I like this lipstick and would repurchase this, the only downside is that you most likely need to pair it with a gloss but I’d do that whether it looked good alone or not since I like a little glossy lips.

 Btw, did I mention the packaging is GAWGEOUSSSS. It looks super high end with the black packaging, I love the quilted detail, the color on the top is helpful if you have a million lipsticks and are looking for a specific one, and the lipstick has “Revlon” engraved in it. I LOVE IT!

E.l.f Studio Line Blush "Tickled Pink"

This particular blush is the E.l.f blush in Tickled Pink. This blush was only $3.00 and it is part of E.l.f's Studio Line. This line sells all of there blushes for only 3 bucks! Super cheap, right? Well that's basically why I am obsessed with E.l.f, everything is so reasonable.
This blush is just a flat color, no shimmer or glitter. The finish isn't so much matte but it's a satiny finish. The color is definitely very natural. it is a natural mauve pink. If you just want a natural flush of color this is the right blush for you! The pigmentation of this blush is nice, all you have to do is tap your brush in the blush twice and you ve a nice anount. The swatch doesn't make it look very pigmented but it actually is well pigmented. it's not amazing like th E.l.f blush in Pink Passion but it's good. I do really like this blush for natural days and would reccomend this if you want a cheap natural blush.

E.l.f Studio Line Blush "Pink Passion"

   Not to long ago I picked up the E.l.f Blush in Pink Passion from Target. I always look at E.l.f. Cosmetics whenever I go to target because it's so affordable and has great quality products. I have seen this blush a few times but never picked it up because I'm not a blush type of girl and contemplated whether I should get it or not. I finally picked it up because one it was a gorgeous pink and two it was only $3.00. I knew whether the pigment wasn't good or the color didn't look good on me I wouldn't care that I spent my money on it because it was so cheap.
   I ended up loving this blush! The color is definitely a super pretty neon pink. This blush is very pigmented and only takes one swipe of a blush brush to get alot of product. You almost have to be careful with how much you get on the brush because it is very bright and will show up very bright on your skin. I just tap my brush in the blush once which gives a nice amount. Other than the great quality of the blush, the packaging is great! I love how sleek the packaging is and how its simple and black. The packaging reminds me of NARS blushes because the packaging is sleek and black just like the E.l.f one except the E.l.f packaging shows the color while the NARS blushes don't. Obviously I love this blush.
